You can arrange to take a scenic flight across the Inner Hauraki Gulf by helicopter and land at Cable Bay.

Walk

15 minute walk from Matiatia Ferry Terminal

Leave terminal and walk about 250m on footpath up the road, turn right towards the car rental companies,, follow signs to Te Atawhai Whenua Reserve and walk through forest and bird reserve until you reach Nick Johnstone Drive and you’ll see Cable Bay on the other side of the road.
